I’d like to say I’m sorry Rick Sanchez got fired by CNN and I guess part of me is sorry. Rick’s been good for some laughs, and not only at the hands of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. I’ve been known to sit around the hovel and mock the hell out of him. I guess it’s only a matter of time before he calls me out for being a bigot.
Joke’s on him. I’ve had not one, but TWO Mexicans in me. My ex-husband and my daughter for nine months. My last name used to be something very similar to Sanchez.
The bigger part of me (my ass) that isn’t sorry he got fired is the part that knows if I’d have gone on a radio show and blasted my employer, I’d have been fired without any kind of severance and about seventeen dollars in the bank. So who is really being discriminated against here?
I’m also not sorry because he called Jon Stewart a bigot. That statement is the very definition of someone who not only takes themselves too seriously, but also of someone who doesn’t get the meaning of satire. Two unforgiveable traits. With the possible exception of a certain Kat Nove, nobody could be more self-deprecating that Jon Stewart. (Note to Rick: This means he makes fun of Jews, himself included. )
Don’t worry, Rick. I’m sure Dancing With the Stars will be calling on you to do the conga. After all, they featured Tucker Carlson and Tom DeLay. You’re a huge ratings magnet compared to those two losers! And now a video by Jeni Decker.
